this old building was constructed using
rubble-irregular shaped sandstone rocks usually picked up by the builder
from the nearby area. |
this method is what led to the instability
of the building. if it had been made of brick (like its neighbour) or
regular shaped sandstone blocks as it was at the front, the integrity of the
building would not have been compromised. |
