Woolloomooloo
Plan Approved
The City Council yesterday
approved a plan for the re-
building of Woolloomooloo
at a cost of £14 million.
The Council set up the following
committee to ask the
State and Federal Governments
to help put the plan into
effect:
The Lord Mayor, Alderman
E. C. O'Dea, the Deputy
Lord Mayor, Alderman J.
Byrne, the chairman of the
finance committee, Alderman
J. J. Carroll, the chairman of
the works committee, Alderman
Albert Sloss, the chairman
of the planning committee,
Alderman F. Green,
and Alderman W. W. Lewis.
The plan provides for the
building of 70 blocks of flats
of seven and eight storeys to
accommodate 5,880 people.
